What do we need to consistently find, turn on and protect this little combo?

The Combo:

4 Bloodchief Ascension

4 Mindcrank

I think we're going to need to move into blue for library manipulation & search to get us our combo assembled reliably. So...

The Search:

4 Preordain

3 See Beyond

2 Foresee

I think we'll also need reliable ways to protect ourselves and get counters on the ascension. So...

Seems like a perfect fit, adding two counters if there is already one on the Ascension.

The Utility

2 Lilianna Vess

4 Lightning Bolt

4 Volt Charge

3 Contagion Clasp

And some ways to protect our life total and our combo. So...

The Defense:

4 Inquisition of Kozilek

4 Mana Leak

I think this is a better list than the mono black one.
